kasa smart plug reviewThe Kasa Smart Plug is compact and comes in white color. To make your traditional home a smart home, you simply have to plug this Smart Plug into your wall sockets. Kasa Smart WiFi Plug with Energy Monitoring gives lots of features at an affordable price. The HS100 model doesn’t provide energy monitoring, I would recommend HS110 and above models. Kasa Smart Plugs are reliable, durable, energy efficient and looks bold.

Installation

Installation for Kasa Smart Plug Outlet is easy. Install the Kasa for Mobile App from Google Play or App Store. Within the app, select Kasa Smart Plug option and connect your device. The app is pretty much straight forward. While testing, the smart plug was always connected and never lost the connectivity. Make sure you have a secured 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network connectivity.

Features

Kasa Smart Plug Outlet by TP-Link ReviewThe Kasa Smart Plug allows controlling your electronic devices from anywhere you want. I found that there are 4 ways you can actually use this smart plug. First being via the Smart Plug button itself, the second one is via App, the third one is via Voice commands and the fourth one is via remote control option. This is actually a good giving a lot of flexibility.

When you are not connected via Wi-Fi network, you can use your cellular device to turn off/on your device via remote control option.

Inside the app, there are features like scheduling your smart plug, timer option, away mode and such. Scheduling is very important if some of your devices are power-hungry.

I found Kasa Smart Plug very useful to be honest. It gives me peace of mind when I’m unsure if an electronic appliance is running or not. I can simply check via Kasa App.

Both Kasa Smart Plug HS100 and HS110 models look great and similar and the only difference in them is the HS110 allows energy monitoring feature.

Software/App

The Kasa App is available for Android and iOS devices. You can set up your voice commands with Google Assistant as well as Amazon Alexa. The Kasa app allows you to add as many smart plugs as you want. Also, you don’t have to own a separate wifi router or hub, it works with any wifi router.
